Manual Installation

Download Package

Click the download button above to get the .vsix file. This is the compiled extension package.

Install in VS Code

Open VS Code and navigate to the Extensions view in the sidebar.

  1. Click the (...) menu at the top-right of the Extensions pane.
  2. Select Install from VSIX... from the dropdown.
  3. Choose the file you just downloaded.

How to Use

Configure API Key

Open the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P) and run Snippkit: Set API Key. Paste your secret key to authenticate.

Select Your Code

Highlight any code block, function, or specific lines you want to save directly in your editor.

Right Click Context Menu

Right-click the selection and choose the Snippkit option.

Authenticate (If Prompted)

If you haven't set your API key yet, the extension will prompt you to enter it. You can generate a new key in your Developer Settings.

Save & Share

A quick input box will appear at the top. Name your snippet, hit Enter, and a link shown to copy to your clipboard.

Update API Key

1. Open Command Palette

Ctrl + Shift + P

MacOS

Cmd + Shift + P

2. Enter Command

Type Set API Key and select the Snippkit option.
