Teams & Policy

Teams & Policy in SnippKit allows organization owners and admins to configure specialized engineering sub-teams, manage access policies, and control permission inheritance across shared code collections.
Policies define the explicit permission sets applied to users when accessing organization code repositories and CLI playbooks.

Overview

In multi-developer organizations, granting global full-access to all code assets can introduce accidental edits or security exposure.
SnippKit’s Teams & Policy workspace (/org/teams) allows you to segment developers into dedicated sub-teams (e.g., Frontend Devs, DevOps & Infra, Security) with assigned default policy roles.
Direct App Shortcut
Manage your sub-teams and default policy roles anytime at Teams & Policy (/org/teams).

What you can do

With Teams & Policy, you can:
  • Create Sub-Teams: Build domain-specific teams (e.g., Core API, Mobile App, QA Engineers).
  • Assign Default Policy Roles: Set default access policies (Viewer, Editor, Admin) for new team members.
  • Filter Team Rosters: Filter teams by ownership (Owned by me vs Others) and policy role.
  • Search & Pagination: Live filter through team rosters by name, owner handle, or role keywords.
  • Attach Collections: Link shared snippet collections directly to team policy groups.

Policy Roles Matrix

When configuring a team, you select a Default Policy Role that governs member permissions across all collections attached to that team:
