Tags & Topics
Tags help you organize, discover, and navigate content across SnippKit.
They act as shared labels that connect snippets, commands, and scripts by language, framework, tool, or concept.
What tags represent
A tag represents a topic or technology, such as:
- Programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Go)
- Frameworks and libraries (React, Next.js, Docker)
- Tools and platforms (Git, Linux, AWS)
- Concepts and workflows (auth, deployment, testing)
Tags are applied directly to content and shared globally.
Exploring tags
The Tags page shows all tags currently used across public snippets.
Each tag displays:
- The tag name
- How many snippets use it
- A visual icon when available
Tags are ordered by usage, helping popular topics surface naturally.
Searching for tags
Use the search bar to quickly find topics.
You can:
- Search by language, framework, or tool name
- Filter the list instantly as you type
- Jump directly to a topic you care about
This makes it easy to explore large tag collections.
Browsing tag pages
Clicking a tag takes you to a dedicated page for that topic.
From there, you can:
- View all public snippets using the tag
- Discover related patterns and solutions
- Explore how different developers approach the same problem
Shared knowledge
Tags connect similar ideas across developers, projects, and use cases.
Infinite scrolling
Tags load progressively as you scroll.
- No pagination or page reloads
- Smooth browsing even with many tags
- Keeps the interface fast and responsive
Why tags matter in SnippKit
Tags are a part of how SnippKit stays flexible:
- No rigid folder structures
- One snippet can belong to multiple topics
- Easy to reorganize as your knowledge grows
Think in topics, not folders
Use tags to describe what a snippet is about, not where it lives.
Public vs private content
Only tags from public snippets appear on this page.
Tags used exclusively in private content remain visible only to you.
How tags fit into discovery
Tags work alongside other discovery tools:
- Tags → Explore topics and technologies
- Discover → Browse public snippets
- Command Center → Find reusable CLI commands
- Personalized Feed → Follow developers you trust
Built for discovery
Tags help turn individual snippets into a connected knowledge graph.
