AI Prompts & Engineering

AI Prompts in SnippKit provide a dedicated library for storing, parameterizing, and sharing AI system instructions, prompt engineering templates, and generative AI prompts.
Whether you engineer complex LLM system prompts, code refactoring templates, or image generation prompts, SnippKit keeps your AI knowledge structured and reusable across AI assistants.

Overview

Prompt engineering requires iterating on precise system instructions, context windows, and output constraints.
SnippKit’s AI Prompts hub (/prompts) allows you to curate system prompts and user prompts tagged by target AI model (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion).
Direct App Shortcut
Open the live AI Prompt Marketplace (/prompts) to explore public community prompts or access your saved prompt templates.

What you can do

With AI Prompts, you can:
  • Store LLM System & User Prompts: Save complex multi-turn prompt templates with formatting preserved.
  • Tag by Target AI Model: Categorize prompts by model family (GPT-4o, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Gemini 1.5 Pro, DeepSeek R1, Midjourney v6).
  • Multi-Modal Image Attachments: Attach reference images for vision models and image generation prompts.
  • Bookmark Community Prompts: Save public prompt engineering templates to your personal collection.
  • Keyboard Shortcut: Press Shift + P from anywhere in the app to open the quick prompt creator.
  • One-Click Copying: Copy raw prompt strings directly to your clipboard for use in Web UIs or APIs.

Getting started

Creating an AI prompt

  1. Click Create in the top navigation bar and select Prompt (or press Shift + P).
  2. Enter a descriptive title (e.g., React Component Refactoring System Prompt).
  3. Select your target Platform & Model (e.g., Claude 3.5 Sonnet).
  4. Write or paste your prompt text into the editor.
  5. Add relevant Tags (e.g., react, refactoring, typescript).
  6. Optionally attach image preview URLs for vision/design prompts.
  7. Select visibility (Private or Public).
  8. Click Save.
Your prompt will be available immediately in the Prompt Marketplace (/prompts).

Supported AI platforms & models

SnippKit categorizes prompts across leading AI models:
  • OpenAI: ChatGPT, GPT-4o, O1 / O3
  • Anthropic: Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Claude 3 Opus
  • Google: Gemini 1.5 Pro, Gemini Flash
  • DeepSeek: DeepSeek R1, DeepSeek V3
  • Open Source: Llama 3, Mistral
  • Image Generation: Midjourney v6, Stable Diffusion, DALL-E 3

Prompt Engineering Best Practices

  • Variable Placeholders: Use clear variable indicators such as {{code_snippet}} or {{target_language}} within your prompt body.
  • System Instructions: Clearly demarcate role, task, constraints, and output format in separate sections.
  • Model Tagging: Tag prompts with their primary model target to ensure team members get consistent results.

Organization & Discovery

  • Prompt Marketplace (/prompts): Discover community-submitted prompts sorted by Newest or Oldest.
  • Saved Prompts: Filter your saved collection to quickly pull up your frequently used prompt templates.
  • Folders Integration: Organize prompts alongside code snippets and CLI commands inside workspace Folders.

  • Sidr AI Assistant — Execute AI prompts directly inside SnippKit's AI workspace.
  • CLI Commands — Manage single-line command templates with dynamic variables.
  • Folders — Organize AI prompts into project directories.
  • Starred Items — Bookmark your top AI prompts for daily usage.
